Alexander Lotersztain is an Argentinian-born Australian designer and founder of the highly awarded multi-disciplinary design studio Derlot.
A unique combination of creativity and business savvy has seen this Brisbane-based practitioner establish a sizeable impression on the design community locally and worldwide.
Alexander graduated from Design at Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art in 2000. Upon graduation, he moved to Japan and worked with highly respected studios GK Design Group and IDÉE honing his skills in product and furniture design. After a stint in Europe, Alexander returned to Brisbane in 2006 to set up Derlot. Since then Alexander’s creative collective has expanded under ‘Derlot Group’ with two contemporary furniture brands, Derlot Editions and Les Basic.
